Casa Pino Solo a 5 star oasis in real Spain.
We travelled with extended family ranging from 2 to 67 years old, and without exception, everyone had a wonderfull holiday.
From the moment you arrive & meet Lisa & Nige, you know they are a fantastic couple, who will,& frequently did, go out of their way to make your stay a fantastic one. Their BBQ is a must the Chicken Tikka is to die for.
A car is needed if you want to get out & about, however; we didn’t bother, we really enjoyed the peace & tranquillity of the whole set-up restaurants / bars & shops all within a 20 min. walk, or 5 min. taxi ride but why would you want to leave this place for any length of time.
I can honestly say that no pictures I've seen on any web site have done this place justice , it has to be seen to be believed.
In all our travels, we have only ever been back to the same place twice New York, but we booked another week in October whilst we were there ,the place is honestly that good.
Absolutely no complaints, and can't think of anything I would change.

This year was our second trip to Casa Pino Solo and was even better than last year, which I didn't think possible! July was a better month as was MUCH hotter - no need for the patio heaters this year compared to last April! I travelled with 16 others, a mixture of my family and my boyfriend's family - who are notorious party animals. Casa Pino Solo provides an out-of-the-way, private villa where noise isn't an issue and peace is a constant around you. We love it because it's a great base to explore Andalucia and beyond - last year we travelled to Cordoba and this year to Seville, Mijas, Torremolinos water park and Puerto Banus. The surrounding lakes are incredible and amazing to swim in or take the dingys down. But the thing that keeps bringing us back - and yes, we're going back next July too - is Lisa and Nigel, who always, without fail, look to go the extra mile. Friendly without being intrusive, they are fantastic - anything you need they are happy to organise or help with - and their BBQ's are AMAZING!!! Trust me, don't hesitate on this one...just go! Casa Pino Solo is a real gem of a place set in stunning surroundings and with fantastic facilities!
If you want a taste of "real Spain" this is just the ticket. Great for relaxation and an ideal place to stay if you want to discover some of the surrounding towns / villages or go to Cordoba, Grenada or Seville. Some of our group also discovered the delights of caneing on the lake. The local bar was a great place to be when the football was on! Nigel & Lisa can't do enough for you and that adds to the personal touch. Fabulous!!!
well we enjoyed ourselves so much last year for my 40th i bought 16 friends and family back as they enjoyed themselves so much , we had the wonderful BBQ care of Nige and Lisa ,we also ordered the fantastic Paella again this year and we ordered pizzas from Los cominos,Sarahs beauty treatments up at the villa were fantastic and all of us agreed !!!
loved our stay yet again , couldnt have two more passionate caring owners who really want you to enjoy your holiday , it feels like a home from home!!!
Visited the lake and wished we had done more Kayaking as it was fab fun, near enough to take a car down to the coast !
Yes it is inland and yes you need a car to go further afield.
but to get views like you get ...of course you would need a car otherwise you wouldnt have the beautiful views!!!!!

My wife and I stayed at Casa Pino Solo following a five-day excursion in Morocco and three days in Sevilla. "The Casa" lived up to every highly rated review you'll read. Lisa and Nigel were incredible hosts who take uncommon pride in both the cleanliness and constant care of this beautiful property that is amazingly priced (for now), quiet and well-appointed. Images you'll find online can't do the landscape or property justice. We found the party- and rec-friendly amenities -- bbq, table tennis, billiards, a heated pool, jacuzzi and even bikes for hitting both on- and off-road excursions among the olive groves -- combined with the spotless accomodations to be the highlight of our two-week holiday. Moreover, it's situated about an hour from everywhere, so day-tripping was a breeze. Nigel and Lisa cater to a largely English-speaking clientele and are ideal for those who are getting by on high school Spanish. Further, their guidance surrounding eateries and markets is to be trusted. Plus, during our week a produce truck came around provided a week's worth of garden-fresh fruits and veggies (a welcome break from the backbeat of Cruzcampo and Iberian ham/chorizo/pork we consumed at a frightening rate throughout our get-away). The location of Caso Pino Solo is superb, surrounded by rolling countryside which is covered by olive groves as far as the eye can see.
The local lake and towns offer excellent off track recreational opportunities for fishing, walking, biking and sightseeing (cycles and dingy available).
If you feel the urge to explore further Caso Pino Solo is centrally positioned for day trips to Malaga, Grenada, Cordoba and Saville. All are well worth visiting, with unique features. Lisa and Nigel will be pleased to advise on travel details and booking for entry to the Alhambra palace at Granada etc.
After a day out you can return and relax in the swimming pool or jacuzzi at Casa Pino Solo.
The facilities are well equipped, clean & beautifully maintained. No effort is spared to make your holiday trouble free and enjoyable regardless of whether you feel like chilling out for the day or taking in some Spanish travel & culture.

Just returned from a quick last minute getaway to Casa Pino Solo, just what the Doctor ordered peace and tranquility. The apartment is spotlessly clean, which means you can literally kick off your shoes when you arrive and immediately feel at ease in your home away from home
The apartment has quality furnishings, with great attention to detail from the leather sofa to the “dreamy bed” with fabulous bedding which ensures a good nights sleep.
There are even towelling bath robes !
There is so much to do at Casa Pino Solo, from the heated swimming pool, hot tub, table tennis, bikes, pool etc., So you can be as energetic as you want or just sit back with a long drink and take in the atmosphere of the real Spain.
Lisa & Nigel are excellent hosts with a wealth of expertise and information, whether you want to eat Tapas in the village or want a day on the coast, just ask,

After having traveled for 3 1/2 months this place was a little piece of heaven. The room was beautiful and the facilities had many things that our family enjoyed such as: pool, hot tub, pool table, ping pong and mountain bikes. The location was excellent being close to Cordoba, Malaga, Granada and Gibraltar. Lisa and Nigel were super hosts, always available to answer questions and very friendly. I highly recommend it!

Just come back from two weeks honeymoon absolutely perfect. Great views great location and great value for money. you are in the REAL SPAIN here perfect location to visit the historical region of Andalusia. host Nige and Lisa are there to help you with any information which you may need, real depth of knowledge. apartments are first class with facilities to match with that homely feel. relax unwind, go for meals at local restaurants where you are part of the Spanish community drink, tapas and seafood to die for great value for money. brilliant local craft shops "Gerty can vow for this" lots of markets where you can still barter and get great prices. lots of small white washed villages. Casa Pino has all you need to relax and unwind and have the time to explore the local area lots of interesting places to visit with great history. apartments were well presented with free wine and staples to get you started on your arrival,also Lisa is able to get shopping for you if you ask before you arrive. BBQ in the evening Jacuzzi glass of wine Bliss..!! back home one day and already recommending it to friends and family for the next time we come back.Perfect time we had and really missing it already!!

My family and I have recently returned from a fantastic holiday at this most amazing villa.There were 22 of us - all different ages from very young children up to my grandparents.The room with the disabled facilities was just perfect and all of the bedrooms and sofa beds were so comfortable no one wanted to get out of bed in the morning!
We all go to a large villa every year and I have to say this villa is the best we have ever stayed in.The space was amazing,the furnishings top quality and facilities second to none.The location was out of this world - views to die for out of every single window with a few bars to walk to serving the best tapas and how cheap!!
We would all like to thank Lisa and Nige for the whole holiday from start to finish. Lisa was so attentive, organising everything for us before we got there including a full shopping list so the wine was cold on arrival, to Nige cleaning the pool every morning, looking after us with advice on the area, where to visit and having a laugh.
Thank you, thank you - we will be back without a shadow of a doubt!!!!!!!!!

Casa Pina Solo has everything you need, It's a home from home, only with better weather and nicer views. The pool is lovely, and so is the hot tub, which is perfect for lying in and looking at the stars, of which there are plenty. Lots of lovely bars and restaurants close by if you don't want to spend your holiday slaving over a hot stove. And of course the food is delicious.
Lisa and Nige looked after us so well, we weren't wanting for anything and we are looking forward to seeing them again this summer!

We had a wonderful time staying in the roof apartment with our two children (3 and 5 years old). They especially enjoyed the heated pool and the olive groves surrounding the property. The apartment was well equipped and even had a dvd player for the afternoon chill-time. Lisa and Nigel are warm and wonderful hosts and we enjoyed their recomendations for restaurants and things to see and do in the area. The property is very well maintained and the views stunning and Casa Pino Solo has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. We would love to come back with a group of friends and family
Christmas in Iznajar with Casapinosolo Our guests from 2008 had a wonderful holiday coming together from England,Alicante and Australia,heres their comments. We were a family party of 15 with ages ranging from 22-89 meeting up for Xmas. Lisa was brilliant helping us set it up and answering all queries. While we were there both she and Nigel were on hand to solve any problems and offer advice.  They laid on a magnificent Christmas feast for us by the pool even arranging for the sun to shine!.The villa is in beautiful peaceful countryside well away from the tourism of the coast but less than an hour's drive if one wants to hit the nightlife-which we didn't. Even our youngsters were more than happy trying out the local bars or just spending endless hours round the pool table, table tennis, darts or in the jacuzzi.We made easy day trips to Granada and the beautiful Ronda and could have gone skiing in the Sierra Nevada but we ran out of time! Thanks for a great stay,Phil and Sally and rest of the family!!
I really dont know where to start....ok here goes.....this villa is the dogs cahoonies!!!!!...we had a group of 23 stop here and we was worried that it wouldnt be able to accommodate all of us...not so...it was fantastic!!!....lisa and nige are stars...they really couldnt do enough for us.....the facillities are amazing too!!!....we had a group of 14 adults and 9 children, and i have to say everyone enjoyed them selves and always had something to do....the rooms were of a very high standard, not just one, ALL OF THEM!!! and the pool, and games facillities were spot on and not dated (really well looked after) infact the whole quality of the villa was amazingly well kept and looked after.....everybody from the age of 2-77 always had something to do and was catered for.......the local scenery it was situated in was stunning an serene.....nigel and lisa made sure we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and always made sure we were never without anything....(pity nige couldnt play pool though lol)and as hosts go, these 2 are the best anyone could hope for, they REALLY are that good....so good infact that even though we only stopped for the week, on our last day we already left a deposit for next year, but this time for 2 weeks!!!!!!!
oh and just to put the icing on the cake, being footie fans we were in footie heaven as they had Sky Sports and Setanta.....and we didnt miss a single match!!
So just a final word.....if you have a large group or even just want a smaller few weeks away with your other half, then YOU MUST book this villa.......YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!!

What a fantastic place. We stayed in July this year, it was my husbands 50th birthday and twenty of us wanted to celebrate all together but without the constraints of being in a hotel, well this was just the place, after hiring a couple of cars (Lisa recommended the best price) we drove from Malaga straight to Casa Pina no problem. We had hired the whole of the complex including the villa and I have to say the accommodation was second to none, everything has been thought about, dressing gowns, shopping done and wine chilling in the fridge. We soon made use of the swimming pool and jacuzzi the men enjoyed a game of pool. There is no near neighbours so we did not have to worry about people hearing us enjoying ourselves. Nigel came round one evening and gave us Salsa lessons which was really good fun. Lisa recommended a nice pub in the local village and we spent a few nice evenings there. The BBQ was easy to use and well maintained and there is all the cooking equipment you could need in the apartments The nearby lake was ideal for a leisurely stroll followed by a picnic. The small village nearby has enough shops to make it interesting but if you want more life and shops then I would recommend Codoba, you can get a wicked Paella there and the shoe shops are to die for. We were thinking of going to USA for my big birthday but I think we will come back here again.
Also they say that Granada is beautiful in the winter and easily accessable from Iznajar.

Nige and Lisa are wonderful hosts. Their property is beautifully situated overlooking olive groves with great views of the hills around. The apartments are of good standard and well fitted out with quality linen and beds. Our girls loved the heated pool and jacuzzi, even at night! (early April). We used the property as a base to visit Cordoba, and several of the white hill towns in the area. Access to and from Malaga and Granada is good along the motorway. Take it from us, its well worth leaving the concrete mayhem behind on the coast and travelling inland to find this hidden gem. For those seeking more excercise, Nige has some mountain bikes you can borrow to cycle to one of the villages nearby and sample some genuine spanish bars. Alternatively you could stay at the accomodation all day if you wanted peace and quiet.

Lisa & Nige make guests feel so welcome, always available but never intrusive, nothing is to much trouble for them
The views from the terrace are amazing and never fail to take your breath away, no matter what time of day
The apartments are a real home from home clean and well maintained and have every facility you need, including hairdryer and towelling robes !
Heated pool, hot tub and lots of activities for the energetic
Would recommend the apartments to anyone, as they are an ideal base for just chilling around the pool or seeking out the "Real Spain" around the beautiful village of Iznajar .

Casa Pino Solo is ideal for those who want to see some of the Spanish countryside without having to cope with a lot of other turists. The house is placed perfectly between Malaga Airport, Granada, Cordoba and Sevilla so if you want to go and see those places you can't chose a better starting point. Furthermore the house and the surroundings is great and the hosts, Lisa & Nige, are very keen on making you feel at home. I defenitely recommend this place!

Sixteen of us stayed at Casapinosolo for my stag-weekend and I must say Lisa and Nige coped admirably! Nothing was too much trouble and by the second day they had become our friends as well as our hosts.
The complex is spotless with breathtaking views and lots of activities both on site and nearby. I would definitely recommend it whether you are looking for a relaxing break, or in our case a slightly more hectic holiday.

"We had been traveling in Portugal and Spain in October 2007, visiting many of the major cities in Andalucia. We booked at Casa Pino Solo thinking we'd use it as a base to go back to Granada. Once we arrived there, we never went back to the city!!! We loved the serene landscape and countrywide. We went to an amazing festival in the nearby Villanueva de Tapia where we got some of our best photos of girls and boys dancing in traditional dress. We even got to improve our dancing as Nigel gave us salsa lessons one evening by the poolside. Tap, two, three, four - - I still remember!!
Our room was comfortable and inviting and Lisa had the refrigerator stocked with the basics for us when we arrived. She also had a nice, and much appreciated, bottle of good red wine waiting for us. They had mountain bikes to ride and a pool and hot tub to soak in after the days activities. We definately want to go back!!!!"

Staying at Casa Pino Solo was one of the highlights of our trip to southern Spain. It was so nice to leave the hubbub of Granada and Cordova and relax in a rural environmnet. We enjoyed the peaceful beauty, the scenic hills covered with olive trees, a great pool and best of all evening tango lessons from our great hosts!! We enjoyed exploring the small towns around the region and attended a great festival in the adjacent Villanueva de Tapia. I highly recommend this place and we hope to be back some day. This has been the first experience of life outside the standard "Package" holiday and we could not have asked for a better place to sample what's on offer.
Your hospitality provided throughout the whole week was brilliant, with nothing to much trouble and the additional touches offered made the whole experience so much more enjoyable.
With us having a young family it was very important the children had a special time and your home offered us everything they could possibly need, however you may now need a new inflatable crocodile as it was probably pleased to see us leave!!!

Karen and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Pino Solo. The welcome basket bread, milk, tea, eggs, sangria and wine were very thoughtful and much appreciated after our long journey. First of all let me say how proud we all are to have been the first stag party to vi  sit Casapinosolo. None of us were quite sure what to expect but it was everything we wanted and more! After our journey from England we were greeted by our very welcoming hosts who made us feel at home right from the start. The complex easily slept the 16 of us and provided us with all the activities we needed to enjoy ourselves, from a heated swimming pool & hot tub to table tennis & Sky Sports. There was never a dull moment. Plus the added bonus that there was hardly another building in sight, just beautiful scenery, meant we could make as much noise as we wanted without upsetting anyone. So thank you Lisa & Nigel for making my stag do truly spectacular. It's still being talked about even now and we all look forward to coming back soon (if you'll have us). All the best
